Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 11, 2026
This page lists every cookie Noumexa sets, why we set it, and how long it lasts. If you disable analytics cookies via the banner, we honour that choice everywhere on the site. For anything not covered here, contact hello@noumexa.com.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They’re used to remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and, in the case of analytics cookies, understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
2. Cookies we use
Essential cookies (no consent required)
These make the site work. Without them, features like the cookie banner itself, admin session, and testimonials filter would break.
- nmx-cookie-consent — remembers your cookie preference. Duration: 12 months. Set by: Noumexa.
- nmx-sticky-cta-dismissed — remembers if you dismissed the sticky “Book Free Audit” pill. Duration: session. Set by: Noumexa.
- nmx-admin-session — admin panel session token (only if you’re a Noumexa admin). Duration: 7 days. Set by: Noumexa.
Analytics cookies (set only if you accept)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage — which pages are read, how far people scroll, which CTAs get clicked. Data is anonymised and never used for advertising.
- _ga — distinguishes users. Duration: 24 months. Set by: Google Analytics.
- _ga_<container> — persists session state. Duration: 24 months. Set by: Google Analytics.
If you decline analytics cookies via the banner, these are not set and no data is sent to Google.
3. Third-party cookies
We do not run advertising, retargeting, or third-party marketing pixels. The only third-party service that may set cookies is Google Analytics 4, and only with your consent.
Embedded content — if a page contains an embedded YouTube video, Google Maps, or WhatsApp share button — those services may set their own cookies. We link to their policies where relevant.
4. Managing your cookie preferences
You have three ways to control cookies:
- Our cookie banner — appears on your first visit. You can choose “Accept all” or “Essential only”.
- Your browser settings — every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies globally. Doing this may break parts of the site (e.g., the admin panel).
- Google Analytics opt-out — the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on disables tracking across every site that uses GA4.
You can change your preference at any time by clicking the “Cookie preferences” link in our footer.
5. Changes to this policy
If we add new cookies or change how we use existing ones, we update this page and re-prompt you for consent where required. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the latest change.
